You will provide efficient and effective cleaning support to the Academy, ensuring that the appearance and hygiene levels in the building and surrounding areas are maintained to a high standard.
Areas of responsibility will include classrooms, welfare facilities, offices and communal areas including corridors and stairs.
• Sweeping / mopping / vacuuming floors
• Emptying waste bins and transporting waste to collection points
• Cleaning toilets / sinks and shower areas • Wiping down surfaces
• Replenishing consumable items in staff and student welfare facilities
• Keeping accurate records of cleaning work
• Checking on stock levels and inform the Cleaning Manager of low stock levels
Staff will be expected to use electronic cleaning equipment (full training provided) and chemical agents. A specification of daily and weekly duties will be provided for hours of work and some flexibility is required inline with the staff and students using the building and facilities.
The Academy opened in existing buildings on 1 September 2009, with a new building planned to open in 2013. The Academy has students aged 11-18 with places for 1,200 11-16 pupils plus 240 Post 16 and by 2019 we will be a full 3-18 academy.
